From Skyline to Takeoff: Vietnam’s Last Embrace

On our last day in Vietnam, we began our adventure at the iconic Bitexco Financial Center, a gleaming symbol of modernity soaring above Ho Chi Minh City. The sleek glass and steel design mirrored the electric energy pulsing through the streets below.

☕ Skyscrapers and Caffeine Dreams

From the observatory deck, we indulged in a cup of Vietnamese coffee so strong it could fuel a revolution—the kind that envelops your senses and jolts your spirit awake. As we sipped and gazed across the sprawling cityscape, the horizon unfolded—a shimmering skyline layered with motorbike symphonies, clustered rooftops, and flickering streetlights waiting to come alive.

Good morning, Vietnam!

🍔 Fast Food, Fast Goodbye

For lunch, we opted for a quick bite in one of the familiar fast-food chains nestled within the bustling Lotte Mart District 7. The lively atmosphere buzzed with locals and tourists alike, making for an exciting dining experience.

🌅 Sunset Farewell, Skyward Bound

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the city, we made our way to Tan Son Nhat Terminal 2 Airport. We prepared for our overnight flight, set to depart at 1:15 AM Vietnam Time back to our motherland, filled with delightful memories and a longing to return.

In every city I leave behind, there’s always one quiet moment that stays. For me, it was sipping Vietnamese coffee at the top of Bitexco—skyline stretching endlessly, caffeine dancing in my veins, and the city humming below like a lullaby I didn’t want to forget.

As our plane rose above Ho Chi Minh City, I carried with me not just souvenirs, but stories stitched into street corners, laughter echoing in market aisles, and flavors that lingered far beyond the final bite.

Vietnam didn’t just give us days to remember—it gave us a rhythm to return to.

*** I went to Vietnam on Nov. 13-16, 2019. The trip was incredible, filled with amazing insights and unforgettable memories. This blog post undergoes revisions and was once posted at my now-defunct first Blogger account. I have updated it to reflect my current writing style. Thank you for reading and supporting my work.***
